They thought about bottles and tires. Then Wines tripped over a shipping pallet on the way home from work one night and something clicked. Using only shipping pallets, or skids, the I-Beam architects created a tiny, modular home design. They also created "IKEA-style assembly instructions" so anyone- even those without building experience- could build their own home, using only hand tools (hammer, nails, "a crowbar is helpful"). IN THIS VIDEO I SHOW THE TECHNIQUE THAT I WILL USE FROM NOW ON WITH THE MAGNET RING FABRICATION. THE REASON FOR THIS IS , I REASEMBLED THE ALTERNATOR, AND AS I SLID IN THE STATOR , IT STUCK TO THE SIDES. WHEN I PULLED IT OVER TO THE MIDDLE, SOME OF THE MAGNETS CAME OFF. I ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY THIS CASTING WITH FIBERGLASS RESIN. AND I KNEW THAT IF THE MAGNETS WERE TOTALLY ENCASED, THAT THEY WOULD BE THERE FOR LIFE. I HAVE USED FIBERGLASS RESIN BEFORE , ABOUT 4 TIMES ON OTHER PROJECTS. I AM STILL LEARNING THE FINER POINTS OF THIS RESIN USE. SUCH THINGS AS GUESSING THE AMOUNT OF RESIN PER HARDENER MIXTURE. BUT AS I AM LEARNING, THE FIBER GLASS RESIN IS A BIT FORGIVING.. IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE AS MUCH BONDING POWER AS EPOXY. AND I HEAR THAT IT WILL LAST LONGER IF COVERED AND SEALED. I AM GLAD THAT THE WIND AND A FEW OTHER THINGS DELAYED ME IN THE TIMELY POURING OF THE MIXTURE, AND THAT I USED A BIT TOO MUCH HARDENER. THIS ENABLED ME TO PASS THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MISTAKES ON TO YOU THE SUBSCRIBER AND CLASS MATES. I HAVE HAD A FEW SETBACKS HERE LATELY. 1 MELISSA HAD TO GET AN APPENDIX OPPERATION AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING A LOT OF ALL DAY HOURS IN THE HEAT FROM SUN UP TO SUN DOWN. The large diameter tube is the envelope that will contain the electrodes of the triode. Another movie shows the stem assembly being made. The stem is where the glass to metal seals are. It also supports the electrodes. The stem joins to the open end of the envelope.
